ONLINE CATALOGBorderlands at The World Book Market. Borderlands at Biblio.Com We list our books online at two different venues, The World Book Market and Biblio.Com. Of the two, we suggest that our customers use The World Book Market, which is a co-operative of what we call "Brick and Mortar" stores (i.e. bookshops with open, retail storefront operations). Below you'll find a list of pros and cons for each site. The biggest advantage of The World Book Market is that, while you can search our inventory, you can also search the inventory of a select group of outstanding and reputable bookseller located all over the world. World Book MarketProsBetter search options. Lower shipping charges. Some rare items not listed on Biblio.Com. Selection of other seller's books. ConsWe've just started using this system and so there may be one or two bugs. Otherwise, it's the way to go. Biblio.ComProsVery well developed shopping cart system. ConsHigher shipping costs. Adequate search options. For collectors there is one other advantage to the World Book Market. Each of the members can act as agent for the other members. So, if there is an expensive book that you are interested in but you would like to have a chance to inspect the book before purchase, we can make arrangements to send it to the WBM member closest to you. You can then inspect it and, if you choose to purchase it, the local member can take care of the transaction. |
